Much of Cameroon's yearly coffee export's are Robusta's; Yet they do produce some high grown Arabica. All are washed and graded for size. Principal commercial crops in Cameroon are coffee, cacao, tobacco, cotton, and bananas. In the late 1980s yearly production of coffee averaged 138,000 metric tons.
Western Europe traditionally takes most of Africa's exports. Because of an established fondness for Latin American coffee's as well as the higher freight cost's of exporting African beans to America, the US misses out on much of the finer coffee's that African countries produce. We suggest that when you happen across High Grade, High Grown, Arabica's from smaller exporters like Cameroon, Rwanda or Tanzia, you may find a hidden treasure.
